Hey, a Conan Exiles mod that shows your weapons and tools when they’re stowed! That’s one thing I liked about Age of Conan, so let’s check this out!
Well this is supposed to be the Khitan bow, so not exactly off to a great start. Let’s try a dagger?
…Oh.
Ohhhhh dear.
Well it just got uploaded today, and it pretty clearly still has some kinks to be ironed out. Like showing daggers floating above the right shoulder, showing katana mounted on the back, showing the wrong bow, showing a bow when no bow is equipped…
I’ll file this one under “Keep an eye on for possible future use.”
Since I recently started re-reading Dune, I wanted to do something deserty. And since I’ve barely played the Scorched Earth map, I decided to hop onto an official server.
…If I could find one, that is.
Eventually I was able to find a couple under “All maps”, and hopped onto one, created my survivor, and…
…spawned in right in the middle of a sandstorm. Awesome.
After what seriously felt like fifteen minutes of waiting the storm finally subsided, revealing that I’d spawned right outside someone’s huge base because of course. So as the sun rapidly sunk below the horizon I set off in search of a place where I could set down a campfire, taming a jerboa along the way.
Huddled near my campfire for warmth I nervously eyed a nearby Daeodon, which I later noticed seemed to be stuck safely atop a cactus.
As I waited for dawn some other poor soul was crying for help in the chat.Let the server’s more established players deal with him, I thought. I got my own skin to worry about. Sure enough soon after my fire went out I saw another player riding to the rescue on a poison wyvern, which incidentally looks creepy as fuck when it’s coming straight at you out of the darkness at low altitude.
As the sun was finally coming up I spied a Titanosaurus, and on my way to investigate I turned to avoid a terror bird and ran right into a direwolf.
And then where should I respawn but outside another big base.
At that point I decided I was done and disconnected.
